Alias Grace

this isnt done yet, needs some more hair and some white and red peonies but i thought i would upload it anyways.

the tree represents the tree of knowledge. (the tree from adam and eve). it represents the danderous path that is taken when searching for and answer. white cloth represents purity, so with the tree perhaps searching for purity of the soul. a woman is a very sexual image along with hair which shows the darkerside of the journey. hands represent comfort. here they are used to represent death. sometimes the only comfort one can have from there horrors is death.

for those who dont know, Alias Grace is a novel by Margaret Atwood. its about a murderess named Grace. though many believe shes completly insane she is completly positive she is sane. but then who commited the murders when everything points to her. the hole story is a journey to the truth and for freedom. not just for Grace but for many other characters. its rather dark but an amazing read. if u fail at understanding symbolism i advise you not to read it because the book is packed full of it.
